A to Z: Whisper

(An A to Z Challenge entry)

W

I hear you whisper in the wind,
ever so faintly, ever so softly.
Your breath wisps my hair strands.
I can feel you near me,
ever so gently, ever so closely.
Your presence warms my skin.

You are there when I need you most,
guiding me home.
When I cry out your name,
your love soothes my worries.
When I am scared,
your comfort calms my nerves.

I wish I could see you
one more time.
I wish I could touch you
one more time.
But I have to wait for you
to come to me,
to hear your whisper,
to feel your breath.

I like this one, even though it seems slightly eerie to me lol Even after you explained the intent. 🙂

Haha, I could see that. It is one of those poems that rides a fine line with one side being sentimental and one being creepy/scary. LOL.
