A to Z: Grief

(An A to Z Challenge entry)

G

A valley so deep, digging into earth,
trying to find a single drop of comfort.
My heart feels like an oasis in the desert.

A room so dark, blinding to the eye,
trying to find a single moment of light.
My mind feels like a prisoner in the Box.

A night so cold, freezing to my skin,
trying to find a single breath of warmth.
My body feels like water in the freezer.

But you’re gone.
I long for
One more drop of love,
One more moment to look,
One more breath to embrace.
But you’re gone
and
I am not ready
to let you go.

😦 I really like ending, though it leaves you on a sad/depressed note. Not that the rest was exactly upbeat lol

Thank you. Sometimes my best works tend to be very emotional and often depressing. Guess I am EMO in that way.

Exactly. I have felt exactly like this before.

❤ Grief is hard – for everyone, in their own ways.
