A to Z: Emotions

(An A to Z Challenge entry)

There is this ache I cannot explain–
a pulsating throb that echoes in my rib cage,
yearning to EXPLODE
through my right breast.

My face flushes with heat. Tears flood my eyes.
Panic sets in.

Empathy, sadness, worry, fear, tension, frustration, devastation.

There is no warning sign.
No way to prepare.
It’s my¬†heart attack of emotions.

We’ve determined you are a mutant with two hearts, so you feel all the feels, both good and bad, at an amplified rate. The trick is experience the good more over the bad?

Yes, my super hero power. I imagine feeling the good over the bad will come as I better understand why I feel the bad, and can learn to react differently. But that may take a lifetime.

I know that thumping feeling in your chest!
